ESS-DIVE (Environmental System Science Data Infrastructure for a Virtual Ecosystem) serves as a repository for hundreds of U.S. Department of Energy (DOE)-funded research projects focusing on terrestrial and subsurface ecosystems. Designed as a scalable framework, ESS-DIVE incentivizes data providers to contribute well-structured, high-quality data and enables the user community to easily build data processing, synthesis, and analysis capabilities using those data.

Join Make Data Count partners - California Digital Library, DataONE and DataCite - for an update on their project activities this Tuesday, July 10th at 8am PST/11am EST.
DataONE continues to plan for the long-term future and accessibility of Earth and environmental data and we need your support.
One year into our Sloan funded Make Data Count project, the Make Data Count Team comprising DataONE, California Digital Library and Data Cite are proud to release Version 1 of standardized data usage and citation metrics!
PANGAEA is an open access data publisher for Earth & environmental science supporting the long-term archiving and publication of georeferenced data related to environmental sciences. As a DataONE Member Node, PANGAEA makes discoverable metadata for approximately 370,000 data sets comprising more than 12 billion data objects. These include numerical and textual data in addition to image and video data, each as a georeferenced record that contains parameter value, parameter type, and... read more
The Organization for Tropical Studies NeoTropical Data Center (OTS-NDC) is a major generator of data on tropical and subtropical ecosystems. By participating in the DataONE network, OTS-NDC now exposes more than 600,000 records of meteorological data to the broader DataONE community, contributing to a total of 38TB of data available through DataONE across 42 member nodes. OTS works to encourage researchers to share important resources, including long-term and new data sets.
The Forest Ecosystem Monitoring Cooperative (FEMC) archives, synthesizes, and utilizes forest ecosystem information, as well as facilitating networks and providing tools to understand and monitor the health and management of forested ecosystems across the region. FEMC serves the northeast temperate forest region through improved understanding of long-term trends, annual conditions, and interdisciplinary relationships of the physical, chemical, and biological components of forested ecosystems... read more
The University of Illinois at Chicago continues its long-standing relationship with DataONE by offering replication services to the community.
The Research Workspace has joined DataONE as a Member Node, making it easy for Research Workspace users to export and archive their project data to the DataONE Network. The Research Workspace is a web-based platform that allows scientific researchers and organizations to manage their projects and data products through the entire data management lifecycle.
