The Organization for Tropical Studies NeoTropical Data Center (OTS-NDC) is a major generator of data on tropical and subtropical ecosystems. By participating in the DataONE network, OTS-NDC now exposes more than 600,000 records of meteorological data to the broader DataONE community, contributing to a total of 38TB of data available through DataONE across 42 member nodes. OTS works to encourage researchers to share important resources, including long-term and new data sets.
The Forest Ecosystem Monitoring Cooperative (FEMC) archives, synthesizes, and utilizes forest ecosystem information, as well as facilitating networks and providing tools to understand and monitor the health and management of forested ecosystems across the region. The Research Workspace has joined DataONE as a Member Node, making it easy for Research Workspace users to export and archive their project data to the DataONE Network. The Research Workspace is a web-based platform that allows scientific researchers and organizations to manage their projects and data products through the entire data management lifecycle.
The Environmental Data Initiative (EDI) is a National Science Foundation-funded effort to support the curation, archival and management of data generated from projects in the NSF’s Division of Environmental Biology (DEB). Programs served include, but are not limited to, Long Term Research in Environmental Biology (LTREB), Organization for Biological Field Stations (OBFS), and Macrosystems Biology (MSB).
